Mimi

Mimi grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of musical influences, playing a wide variety of instruments from a young age. Her passion for music developed over the years and one of her first experiences of playing live came at 14 years old at the '12 bar club, Denmark Street (which in the past has attached names such as Brain Eno and Can's Irmin schmidt)

At 17 Mimi formed the band BattleKat with 3 close friends. This gave Mimi the opportunity to travel the country, Europe (and beyond) gigging to small, intimate venues honing her craft. Over the next 5 five years, BattleKat built a solid European fan base. However it was important for Mimi concentrate on writing, something which she needs to explore alone. Her solo ideas developed after a meeting with German music producer Peter Hoffman, who encouraged her to develop her solo work and brought in producer Franz Plasa. This lead to unique style and sound for Mimi - a sound which is described as a mix of blueglass/rock/Radiohead

Alongside the music, Mimi has worked as a successful model. she joined London agency Storm model Management in 2007.

In the past few months, Mimi has signed to world class record company Warner Europe, to take her music to the next level. Her album is now complete and due to be released in the new year. Her music has also caught the eye of the producers of Twilight movie and her single 'Don't you mourn the Sun’ is featuring in the new Twilight movie, on the deluxe soundtrack.
