Undoubtedly one of the most inspiring models in the industry, her career in 2006 and her place as a supermodel was truly established when she took to the catwalk at the Olympics Closing Ceremony with her fellow British supermodels. Earlier on in her career she was the first black model to walk for Prada in 13 years and she was part of Steven Meisel’s iconic black issue for Italian Vogue and in one month she was on the covers of i-D, Italian Vogue, Dazed and Pop. Her 2012 work includes campaigns for YSL, Burberry, John Galliano, Pucci and Banana Republic and editorials for i-D, ST Style, Ponystep, British, US, Italian Vogue and W magazine. Jourdan is a devoted mother and has been working closely with the Sickle Cell Society, a cause close to her heart.
