Natalie Dormer

Natalie Dormer was born in Berkshire in 1982. She moved to London and attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where she was classically trained for 3 years.

Upon her graduation in 2004, Natalie landed her big screen debut alongside Heath Ledger and Jeremy Irons in the period comedy CASANOVA, directed by award-winning film-maker Lasse Hallstrom.

In 2006, she joined Demi Moore and Michael Caine in Michael Radford’s heist movie FLAWLESS, before winning the much-coveted role of Anne Boleyn in Showtime’s lavish production THE TUDORS.

Natalie portrayed the ill-fated second wife of Henry VIII for two full seasons alongside Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Sam Neill and Jeremy Northam. She received great critical acclaim for the role from critics and fans alike, including the Boston Herald’s comment that ‘ Dormer’s departure from The Tudors leaves a void", and was nominated at the Canadian Gemini Awards 2009, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role.

Natalie’s credits also include the feature films FENCEWALKER, a semi-autobiographical drama, written and directed by Chris Carter (X Files), and CITY OF LIFE, written and directed by Ali F. Mostafa, which premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival 2009.

Her more recent television work includes the pilot show MASTERWORK for FOX in the US, in which she played an ambitious MI5 agent and Agatha Christie’s MISS MARPLE for ITV, alongside Julia Mackenzie and Warren Clarke.

Natalie is currently on stage starring in SWEET NOTHINGS, directed by the acclaimed Luc Bondy, at the Young Vic, London. The Times desribes her performance as having "just the right mix of sexual allure, mischief and hardness".
